Haskell's Rhyme
Haskell is an imaginary friend, a small silicon dragon who represents my wit and mental agility — you can read more about him in the notes on his other song. This song actually came first, and is rather lighter in tone.

There's a tiny silver dragon flying circles in my head
I watch his aerobatics when I ought to be in bed
He has a very special knack for keeping me awake
I sometimes think adopting him may have been a mistake
But sometimes when the sun is sparkling silver on his wings
He helps me think of things that kind of rhyme with other things
We fly around for hours making loops up in the sky
And then I know that having him makes me a lucky guy
My dragon's name is Haskell which in Hebrew means he's smart
He has a very special knack for taking things apart
And putting them together so they're different than before
A pastime that's appealing in a way I can't ignore
There's a tiny silver dragon growing restless in my brain
I hold him like a falconer upon a silver chain
He fans his wings to show he wants to take off from my hand
But I know that he'll come back when it comes time for him to land
